For all of the negativity and problems that social media creates, one thing is undeniable: as much as it can divide, it has an incredible power to connect people as well. I will be forever grateful to Instagram for bringing Justin and me together, and I’ve made countless new friends and discovered amazing work opportunities because of it.
One of my favorite things is when IG friends become “IRL” friends, and that’s exactly what happened with Paul Avellino (aka “Paulie” to those who know him.) I don’t recall exactly when or why I started following Avellino Farms, but it was likely through one of our other mutual like-minded food friends like Chantal of Drinking Long Island or Larry of 1760 Homestead.
