For NFL draft day this year, Justin and I decided to get in the “sporty” mood and make some air fryer wings on IG Live. Of course, I made traditional Buffalo wings with my favorite buffalo sauce from New Primal. (code JAYMEE for 15% off) But my sleeper favorite of the evening: the Miso Honey Sriracha Wings I whipped up on a whim.

I had some white miso in the fridge leftover from another recipe, and aside from that it was a collection of ingredients and flavors I already had on hand. (Which means, I will be making these again and again.)

dry out wings in the fridge before cooking to get crispy skin

Many of you are fans of my Crispy Oven wings that I posted last year. And if you don’t own an air fryer, that’s still the way to go. It involves drying out the wings ahead of time and using a mixture of baking powder and salt to help promote crisping.

However, this time, we made these in the air fryer and WOW…. game changer! I still used the baking powder/salt/fridge trick, but it’s not totally necessary with the air fryer. I air fried the wings in batches at 390 degrees for about 12-15 minutes.

As for the wing sauce… it’s a mixture of white miso, honey, rice vinegar, soy sauce, fish sauce and sriracha. It’s an umami bomb and you should definitely try it on your next batch of wings!

I also topped them off with some toasted sesame seeds and sliced scallions! What’s your favorite way to eat wings?
